Let’s face it, fresh vegetable juicing is hip, sexy, and the hottest thing since Kool-Aid. It’s one of the easiest and quickest ways to take charge and kick-start your health. Think about the tons of amazing benefits you can experience with juicing and making smoothies, like: improved energy and clarity, feel and look better, healing properties that comes with all the antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals; cleansing and detoxification, hydration, alkalinity, and an overall sense of well-being.

Check out Melissa’s 3 recipe ideas (1 veggie, 1 fruit, and 1 fruit and veggie combo). You can juice it or blend it, your choice, but try to commit to making one fresh juice or smoothie at least 3 days this week.

What you’ll need: A juicer or a blender (and strainer), fresh fruits & veggies, and your taste buds.

Here are 3 recipes you can try or juice/blend any of the fruit and veggies you have in the frig. Keep it simple with 2-5 ingredients. Specific ingredients that change/improve the taste of your juice or smoothie are: ginger (use sparingly, a small pinch gives your juice a kick), lemon/lime, and apples (which lightly sweetens veggie juices). Give it a try!
